It has been 15 years since my trip to the Charlebois region. This bakery is a must stop when you're in the area.

This place is so good I recommend taking a vacation to the L'ilse aux Coudres in Quebec where is resides. This place has been baking bread on this lovely island for 60+ years. Sit down at the picnic tables with your tarte au sucre, rillette with confit des oignon or hunk of warm bread and soak up the views of the St. Lawrence River and the Mountains of Charlesviox. We loved it so much we stayed overnight at La Roche Pleureuse Hotel just have to have the quiche lorraine in the morning.
